    ladyofhoward asked: I have heard that the batteries in hybrid vehicles last for about 100K miles. I am concerned with how, or what happens to the old batteries. Are they recycled, and how are they recycled. Is it good for the enviornment. Might I, and the enviorment, be better off purchasing a non-hybrid vehicle?
